Arsenal are into the quarter finals of the FA Cup where they'll face another non league side in the shape of Lincoln City.

Meanwhile, after running the Gunners close on Monday night, Sutton United's performance on the 3G pitch at Ganders Green was overshadowed by the pie-eating antics of reserve goalkeeper Wayne Shaw.

What seemed like a hilarious jape at the time sent social media in a buzz with the larger than life character chomping on a pastie towards the end of the match.

However, it was later revealed that the club's sponsors for the match, Sun Bets, had priced up a special bet of 8/1 that Shaw would eat a pie during the game and this was most probably just a publicity stunt.

It certainly did the trick and whether you take it at face value as a bit of a laugh or not, it's certainly detracted from his team-mates performance on the pitch. Sutton didn't play like a non league side and it was a goal in either half from Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott, netting his 100th goal for the Gunners that separated the sides in the end.

Not Impressed

Both the Sutton manager and chairman have since expressed their dissatisfaction with the stunt, both claiming that the 23-stone keeper is grabbing his chance of being in the spotlight and that he will be spoken to, whilst the FA might also want a word with the stopper if he's deemed to have breached strict FA betting rules.
