As reported on the Greenslade blog on the Guardian online news site, The Sportsman, which was placed in administration in July - one step from the grave. It will continue publishing reports Stephen Brook but, with the greatest of respect to the people running it and working on it, what's the point? A newspaper, even one aimed at a niche, must have an audience. TheSportsman Goes Into Administation - BBC

As reported on the BBC site, on the 20th July, the Sportsman Sports betting and horseracing newspaper went into administration less than six months after its launch. A statement from the owners stated all the paper's staff remain in their jobs with administrators hoping to find a buyer within two months.....read the full article
