With the start of the 2023 Formula 1 season comes the promise of more wonderful action, with Max Verstappen looking to maintain his stranglehold on the sport after a sensational 15 victories in 22 races last year set a new record for most wins in a season.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will be hoping for a response after going through the whole of 2022 without a victory, the first such season in his 16-year career in the sport.

So what can we expect from the 23 rounds ahead, and from the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix in particular? Here’s your full guide.
