Tyson Fury previously announced that he was going offline until his eagerly anticipated blockbuster bout against Deontay Wilder on 1st December.
In a tweet posted on 12 October Fury said:
‘Going off line until fight.!’
But six weeks is a long time to spend off social media in this day and age, and Fury barely even lasted two days, as the popular boxer made his return to Twitter and Instagram on Saturday night.
Throughout the last couple of weeks the heavyweights have been going toe-to-toe verbally in a series of TV interviews. The other day Wilder even ‘knocked out’ a mascot - reportedly breaking his jaw - however Fury ended his brief vow of silence in typical Fury fashion...by belting out Don McLean’s famous tune 'American Pie', along with the jokey caption:
“Backstage on the press tour, looking really nervous ”
Fury is looking more relaxed than he’s ever been ahead of the fight, and it’s fair to say that his legion of followers were absolutely loving the surprise singalong - give this man a record deal!
