AB de Villiers Grabs A Stunning Catch In RCB Win In IPL
21:35, 17 May 2018

AB de Villiers is one of the world's greatest cricket talents with the bat, but the South African sensation showed he is equally as good in the field on Thursday as he caught an absolute worldie during Royal Challengers Banglore's win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

de Villiers marshalling the boundary at deep mid-wicket for RCB was launched into action when Alex Hales stepped down the wicket to try and smash his England teammate Moeen Ali out of the ground with an almighty six.

For all money it looked like Hales, who is now solely focusing on one-day cricket, had creamed the ball over the boundary to notch his third six of the match, but de Villiers produced a fine piece of skill to not only stop the ball from going over the rope, but also caught the ball to dismiss may of a huge crowd, and especially Virat Kohli.

de Villiers coolly jumped to his right, and with both legs high above the ground he outstretched his right arm and clasped the ball into his grasp, and Hales had to walk off the pitch to sensational celebrations.

The South African star had earlier smashed a fine 39-ball 69, which was the catalyst for a RCB win by 14 runs, but the night's match will go down long in the memory for de Villiers' fine catch, and it's sure to be in every highlight reel when the IPL comes to a close.
