Mo Salah, Eden Hazard, and Harry Kane eat your heart out, you will not see a better footballing moment this weekend than this piece of scintillating skill from comedy star Chabuddy G.
Chabuddy G, real name Asim Chaudhry, who is best known for his BAFTA winning mockumentary BBC sitcom People Just Do Nothing, appeared on Saturday’s edition of Soccer AM, and it’s fair to say he left a lasting impression with a stunning moment of magic during the famous Crossbar Challenge.
Sporting a dazzling shirt and leopard print shoes, he cruised up to the ball, boldly telling the watching crowd “outside of the foot yeah?,” then proceeded to stay true to his word with a beautiful strike that pinged off the bar, much to the delight of those present, including a star-struck John Barnes.
It’s difficult to put into words just how difficult it is to orchestrate that level of tekkers in those shoes, but Chabuddy G aced it, although whether it tops Jimmy Bullard’s simply stunning Russian back-flip penalty, is open to debate - if you’ve not seen this yet, then you’re going to want to follow the link. It really is a sight to behold.
The fifth series of Chabuddy G’s spoof comedy People Just Do Nothing is currently airing on BBC, a sitcom about a pirate radio station Kurupt FM in a west London tower block, while fans were loving his appearance on Soccer AM...
