Absolutely Insane Game At Villa Park Sees Aston Villa Draw 5-5 With Nottingham Forest

Wow! What a crazy game at Villa Park tonight where Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest were involved in an astonishing game which finished 5-5 having been 3-3 at half-time.

Tammy Abraham looked to have won it for the home side in stoppage time but he looked across to see the linesman's flag was up. It was the second disallowed Villa goal in the closing minutes as they just fell short in their quest for all three points.

Forest's Lewis Grabban made it 5-5 as he latched onto Joe Lolley's through ball and squeezed it past Orjan Nyland. All the more incredible given that Tobias Figueiredo was sent off for heavy challenge on John McGinn.

In the 75th minute, Villa had gone 5-4 up thanks to a well-taken goal from Anwar El Ghazi. but the star of the night was without doubt Tammy Abraham who scored four goals for the home side.

Six minutes into the second half, Joe Lolley scored from distance for Forest to make it 4-3.

In the first half we had just the six goals thanks to a hat-trick from Abraham as Villa came back from 2-0 down. Oh and those two goals from Forest? They came in the first six minutes.

This is one game where we can safely trot out that favourite, old saying "defences were not on top."

The point was enough for Forest to make the top six while Villa edged up the Championship to eighth. Norwich City remain top with 37 points.
