The team news for the final Group B game between Iran and Portugal has just been announced.

The match kicks off at 7pm at the Mordovia Arena in Russia.

This is a vital win for both sides, although Portugal can be partially content with a draw that would see them through to the last-16. Iran will make history by reaching their first ever knockout stage at the World Cup, and would do so under former Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz.

Following today’s earlier match, Portugal will know that whoever finishes second in the group with have a tough ask against a barn-storming Uruguay.

In tonight’s line-up for Morocco, Haji Safi captains the side, overcoming a thigh injury. Milad Mohammedi goes back to being on the bench.

For Portugal Raphael Guerreiro has apparently recovered from his leg injury and starts at left-back

Adrien Silva, who replace Joao Moutinho in the last match versus Morocco is another player to be afforded a start.

Perhaps the best news for Portugal fans is that coach Fernando Santos has stopped with his persistence for Goncalo Guedes to start upfront, finally opting for Andre Silva to take his place alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in the attacking line-up.

Bernardo Silva, who had a poor game against their group opponents Morocco, is dropped in favour of winger Ricardo Quaresma.

Iran XI: Alireza Beiranvand - Haji Safi - Morteza Pouraliganji - Maid Hosseini - Ramin Rezaeian - Saied Ezatolahi - Omid Ebrahimi -  Medhi Taremi - Vahid Amiri - Alireza Jahanbakhsh - Sardar Azmoun
