Angry Rory McIlroy Trolls American Ryder Cup Fans With Feisty Celebration

The Ryder Cup is bubbling up very nicely indeed as Team Europe lead Team USA on the second day of the action at Le Golf National in France.

Who is at the centre of the action? That man, Rory McIlroy, as he continues to get the crowd fully involved.

The Northern Irishman produced a startling reaction at the third hole of his foursomes match with Ian Poulter against Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

The former world number one sank an eight foot putt at the third to keep Europe two-up in that particular match, which was a decent effort considering Poulter had struggled at the bunker moments before.

McIlroy reaction was feisty, to say the least.

He turned to the crowd, puts his arms out, points at his chest, shrugs, and shouts to the crowd.

Who can't putt? I can putt, I can putt!!!"

It was seemingly a reaction to an American fan in the crowd who had been questioning his putting credentials, and it certainly got a response out of the European player as he pumped up the home crowd in France.

It has been a wonderful couple of days for Europe so far as they continue to lead the USA, who haven't won on European soil since victory at The Belfry in 1993.

There are sure to be plenty more twists and turns, as well as watchable moments like McIlroy's at the third on Saturday. Check out McIlroy's reaction to his superb putt in the video further down this page...
