Are Liverpool Starting To Blow the Title Race? Predicted Scores Suggest The Reds Will Win The Premier League

The atmosphere around the Liverpool squad at the moment appears to be all doom and gloom with the Anfield club slowing seeing their lead at the top of the Premier League table diminish.

That negativity reached new heights amongst the fans at the weekend in the wake of the 0-0 draw at old Trafford when it appeared that the wounded Man United team were there for the taking.

The Reds do go into their game against Watford on Wednesday night still top of the table though and it must remembered that they have still only lost once in the league this term and continue to have the best defence in the division.

Jurgen Klopp will know that his team are on the edge of immortality with just 11 games to go and amongst all the doom and gloom it should be noted that the remaining fixture list is a favourable one.

There are no more visits away from home to a big six team, with this weekends trip to Goodison Park perhaps the toughest away day left on the agenda for the title chasing team. Spurs and Chelsea do have to go to Anfield but Liverpool would certainly be heavy favourites for the game against the Stamford Bridge club and their record against Tottenham is a formidable one as well.

Fans often look towards the May fixtures to see who has the upper hand in the title race and Liverpool will be delighted with their final three games this term. Home matches against Huddersfield, who will already be down, and Wolves, who will have nothing to play for should have the former Dortmund gaffer licking his lips, while an away trip to Newcastle should hold no fears either.

In truth, Liverpool have the squad to go through the rest of the season unbeaten when you look through the remaining 11 games on the fixture list and if they can do that, Man City are going to have to be close to flawless to overhaul their Merseyside rivals.

Nine wins and two draws from the remaining 11 matches, starting against Watford, will give Liverpool a final tally of 95 points and that would give the Citizens a massive target to challenge. Amazingly, City did manage to break that barrier last season in their record breaking campaign but the expected total for the Reds would be enough for them to win the Premier League in a normal season.

The attack does need to start clicking for Liverpool but despite the doom and gloom it remains in their hands and 95 points this season is within their grasp. Can the Reds finally grab that elusive first Premier League crown?
