Eric Bailly is considering a sensational decision to quit Manchester United in January.
The Mirror are reporting that the Ivorian defender is growing disillusioned with his bit part role at Old Trafford and is exploring the possibility of a move away from the club.
Bailly has been a largely popular figure with the Man United fans since arriving for £30m just over two years ago but a poor end to last season and a difficult start to this campaign has seen him slip down the pecking order in the eyes of Jose Mourinho.
The same article is reporting that both Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to pounce for a defender who has shown plenty of promise in his young career.
Bailly was made the scapegoat for the defeat at Brighton last month and has only made appearances off the bench in the subsequent wins over Burnley and Watford as a result.
Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be watching the situation from afar as is Unai Emery who will surely be looking to strengthen his defensive options as soon as he can.
The departure of Bailly would still be a huge risk for Mourinho and United though considering how much time and money they have invested in a player who is still only 24, and it would be a major surprise if they allowed him to leave for one of their Premier League rivals in January.
The Manchester United squad continues to look thin on the ground in terms of central defenders which makes this latest story on Bailly a massive shock.
