Arsenal legend Tony Adams sparked a huge debate on Twitter when he stated that his old club were bigger than Juventus.
He made the comments in reference to Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey who is quitting the Emirates at the end of the season to play in the black and white of Juve alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The ex-Arsenal skipper says that Ramsey is far too good to let go on a free transfer even though he's already signed a four-year deal in Turin.
"It's a different game and a different club to the one I left in 2002," Adams told Sky Sports. "We would be challenging and Juventus players would be signing for us.
"Aaron Ramsey is too good to let go. Why would you go to Juventus anyway? They are a smaller club than Arsenal - that's the way I've always felt about the Arsenal. Other people think differently, maybe he thinks Cardiff is bigger."
His comments may have gone down well with Gooners but not everyone was impressed.
Kieron Webb tweeted: "Tony Adams is a legend," while others suggested he deserved a statue.
However Danny Stanton posted: "Some people say heading a football can have serious effects on the brain later on in life. After listening to Tony Adams here I'm starting to think they have a valid case."
Adam Barlow chimed in: "This is why Adams ins unemployable." Jack Perchard agreed: "Tony Adams has lost his marbles."
Josh Curtis offered: "There are three clubs bigger than Arsenal in Italy."
