Following the second wave of quarter-finals League Cup fixtures that saw Chelsea narrowly defeat Bournemouth and Spurs see off fierce North London rivals Arsenal away at the Emirates Stadium, the semi-final draw provided an interesting twist on the usual set-up.

There was even more reason to tune in - even for the fan without any affiliation to the four teams that have made it this far, Chelsea, Spurs, Manchester City, and Burton Albion - with perennial prat Piers Morgan assisting with the draw.

“Why should I have tuned into see that muppet?” we hear you cry. Well, apparently life-long Gooner Morgan did the draw wearing none other than the shirt of his perpetual hated rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

After making an unfortunate wager regarding who would win the North London derby, Morgan was forced to pull on the white jersey.

Standing alongside the towering ex-Spurs striker Peter Crouch to whom he he had lost the bet,

Morgan - well known for his atrociously outspoken opinions and beef with Sir Alan Sugar - tried to bring himself some redemption by urging himself to pull out Premier League champions to face Tottenham.

Instead, the Blues were paired up with Burton, and Spurs were left to face Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea. A short draw, of course, but nevertheless entertaining.

In addition, Morgan had to donate £1000 to a charitable cause. Instead of doing this stunt for charity, maybe explain why you published those fake Iraq pictures and supposedly hacked a load of phones maybe, eh Piers?

You can watch the video of Morgan making a t*t of himself once again below.
