The race to sign Paris St-Germain star Adrien Rabiot has stepped up a notch as reports are suggesting that he has ended talks over a new contract with the French giants.

According to French radio station RMC (via The Sun), PSG are keen to extend Rabiot's current deal as his contract expires at the end of the season but ongoing talks have reportedly stalled, with Rabiot ready to leave the club in the summer.

There will be no shortage of suitors for the 23-year-old as he is likely to be one of the most sought after talents during the transfer window, and clubs might be tempted to try and force through a cut-price deal in January.

The Sun suggested Premier League rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are ready to go head-to-head in a battle to sign the player, who actually worked with Gunners boss Unai Emery during their time together at PSG.

The bookmakers have opened up a market on where Rabiot could end up after the January transfer window and he is 8/1 to join Emery's revolution at Arsenal, while Chelsea and Liverpool are each priced 10/1 to sign the player.

Barcelona have been the big market movers though as the La Liga club were clipped in from 16/1 to 10/1 by one bookie earlier this week, although they are as big as 20/1 with others.

Adrien Rabiot Club After January Transfer Window Odds:

1/6 - To Stay At PSG
8/1 - Arsenal
10/1 - Liverpool
12/1 - Chelsea
16/1 - Man Utd
20/1 - Barcelona

It is a transfer saga that could dominate headlines during January and it will be interesting to see where the talented midfielder opts to ply his trade.

It seems as if the PSG fans wouldn’t be entirely unhappy to see Rabiot leave though…
