Arsenal announced this morning that they would be parting ways with their legendary manager of 22 years, Arsene Wenger. The social media account has now released a brilliant video detailing the Frenchman’s career at the club, from the day he arrived in 1996, to some of his more recent trophies.
Wenger will go down as one of the greatest managers in history and despite things turning slightly sour in recent years, the things he has achieved and his longevity must be admired and respected. He won the Premier League and FA Cup double in his first season in charge which was a staggering achievement as few people knew who he was when he joined.
He brought new training regimes, tactics and diets to his Premier League players and lead the way with his revolutionary ways at the turn of the century. Arsenal have moved to a new stadium under his tenure and he has kept them out of serious debt which is a serious achievement even if it is not appreciated by fans.
His career highlight was the season in which his Arsenal side that included great names such as Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira won the Premier League without losing a game. The Invincibles would go down in history as one of the best Premier League sides of all time.
