As the new Premier League season creeps ever closer, we’ve decided to check in with fans of all 20 clubs to gauge their opinions on everything from their expectations to the league’s winners and losers.
In this edition we catch up with @AVFCFaithful_ to ask them about Aston Villa’s key men and their Premier League predictions.
Steven Gerrard’s side will be looking to build on some bright moments from the previous campaign with the likes of Lucas Digne, Philippe Coutinho and Emi Buendia the stars likely to shine brightest at Villa Park.

The Villans are 5/6 to finish in the top half of the Premier League in 2022/23 with Betfred, and 15/8 to finish the highest of the Midlands sides.
What are your expectations for the season ahead and where do you think you will finish in the league?
I think the expectations have to be top half, something we have not done since 2011. I think we should aim for 8th/9th and focus on trying to be the 'best of the rest’.
Which player do you think will have the best season and why?
From a Villa perspective I think you have to look at Philippe Coutinho who has had a full pre-season behind him now and should really kick on after an inconsistent start in a Villa shirt. Others include Boubacar Kamara who looks a very exciting player and Jacob Ramsey who will want to build on last season.
Which player do you think will surprise other fans/pundits this season and why?
Cameron Archer. People need to watch out for this man if he sticks around the first team. The man is a goalscorer and I would genuinely expect him to score goals given the chance in the Premier League. I can’t remember the last time I have seen such a clinical striker at the club.
Which team will win the league?
Manchester City. After the signings of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips I don’t think you can look beyond City. Especially as I don’t think Liverpool have actually strengthened, losing Sadio Mane and replacing with Darwin Nunez.
Which three teams will be relegated?
I think Bournemouth will struggle. A lack of high-profile signings so far and a slow summer could cost them. Fulham still haven’t signed a centre-back. They can’t go into another Premier League season with Tim Ream at the back otherwise it’s another relegation for them. I think Leeds could struggle - losing your two most influential players will severely hurt any team.
