To help - or possible hinder - your own process of selection, we’ve picked out the three we think will fill the first trio of places.
1 - Seeyouatmidnight
The great Scottish hope goes for Sandy Thomson and has recently changed owners.
The 10-year-old came third in a Scottish Grand National in 2016, showing his ability to stay the trip, and touched off such talented chasers as Bristol de Mai and the re-opposing Blaklion during the same campaign.
A spell off with injury and breathing issues were followed by a breathing op and a blow at Newbury on return this season.
We’re taking him to land the odds in the big one at Aintree.
2 - Raz de Maree
This rendition of the race might require even more stamina than normal from the runners and Gavin Cromwell’s old boy has got that in spades.
Winner of the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow in January and has no shortage of high-grade staying chasing experience to his name.
We’re backing his nous to tell in what could be an attritional rendition of the race, but think he’ll just fall short of the landing the spoils.
3 - Blaklion
Last year’s fourth is undoubtedly a classy operator and Nigel Twiston-Davies thinks very highly of the horse indeed.
The ante-post favourite for the race won the Becher Chase over the National fences in December before just running out of steam on brutal ground at Haydock last time.
We’re backing him to be ridden prominently and go well for much of the racebut to just be outstayed up the home straight.
