The phenomenal Baaeed maintained his unbeaten record in Tuesday’s Royal Ascot opener, romping home to win the Queen Anne Stakes.
The William Haggas star has drawn comparisons to the great Frankel and showed why he’s the highest rated horse in the world, dominating his rivals to make it eight wins in a row and four Group Ones out of four. Jockey Jim Crowley barely had to lift a finger as his charge finished 3 lengths clear.
The dominance of his win should come as no surprise to punters, with Baaeed, the heavy betting favourite (1/6 with Betfred), the biggest banker of the day for the majority. In a field of seven horses, Real World (15/2) finished second, Order Of Australia (20/1) crossed the line in third, while Chindit (28/1) came fourth.
The brilliant Baaeed - now eight from eight and all class in the Queen Anne 👏

"Everything went smoothly, the ground is great, I just let him stretch out in the last furlong - it went like clockwork. You spend your whole life waiting for a horse like this to come along. He's an absolute pleasure to ride," Crowley told ITV Racing after the win.
Trainer Haggas was less enthusiastic however, stating: "He won nicely, he didn’t really do a lot did he?
“He looked like he tracked the right horse and the other horse ran well. You can’t really learn much from that though.”
