Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set a new Manchester United record last night winning eight consecutive away games with a 3-1 win away at Crystal Palace. The Norwegian now looks certain to land the permanent job in the summer and United are already gearing up to make some big signings this summer to strengthen their squad.

According to Talksport, United have eye up two defenders and one central midfielder as they look to build on the second half of this season. The first man they have targeted is Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka who has had an incredible breakthrough season in the Premier League.

He has made that position his own and at just 21-years-old has time on his side to develop into one of the top full-backs in Europe. His power and pace are incredible and he could provide the perfect replacement for the ageing Ashley Young although they do also have Diogo Dalot in that position.

Kalidou Koulibaly is still one of United’s top targets, with the United board keen to land one of the top defenders in the world. He won’t come cheap though, with the Napoli president confirming the Red Devils had bid £95m for his services last year. They would have to break the world record fee spent on a defender to bring Koulibaly to the club.

The final player United have targeted is a surprise, with the club reportedly after Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic. Barca are willing to let the 30-year-old go with a whole host of talented midfielders at their disposal, although Inter Milan are also in for Croatian who was brilliant in last year’s World Cup.
