Ousmane Dembele is getting himself into more bother at Barcelona after yet more indiscipline at the club. According to Mundo Deportivo, Dembele was non-contactable for almost two hours as he failed to turn up to training on Thursday.

The reason he missed the session was as he was suffering from gastroenteritis, a point that was not argued by the club’s medical staff. What annoyed the club and the senior players in the team is that the French World Cup winner failed to answer his phone or inform anyone at the club of his illness.

His attitude in the past has been highly criticised by senior figures at the club. They believe he must do more work if he is to fulfil his massive potential and become a success at one of the biggest clubs in world football.

His diet and drinking habits have already been called into question this season and senior players such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have already had their say on the Frenchman. Reportedly Ernesto Valverde was urged to pick Rafinha over Ousmane Dembele in Messi’s absence and the Spanish gaffer obliged.

It seems a long way back now for Dembele at Barca who has now stopped learning Spanish in an attempt to integrate with the other players. He seems unsettled at the club and with yet another setback, he could seek a move away in the near future.

Barca may be willing to cut their losses on the winger they spent £105m on from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
