Ben Stokes is set to make his hotly-anticipated return to international cricket on Sunday, as the Durham all-rounder is set to be named in England's team for their One-Day international with New Zealand, which kicks off in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Stokes hasn't played for the Three Lions since September, after he was embroiled in an incident outside a Bristol nightclub, but having been granted unconditional bail on February 13, Stpkes was given the green light to fly to New Zealand, as he looks to put his troubles behind him, and focus on the cricket.
Stokes missed the whole Ashes series, which England were trounced 4-0, and he missed the recent T20 tri-series between Australia and New Zealand, and he has been a major loss in recent months with England, as they continue to struggle away from home, but with Eoin Morgan stating that Stokes is fit to play on the international stage again, then he is fully expected to be named in the middle order for England, as they embark on a five-match ODI series with New Zealand.
The Durham sensation is widely regarded as one of the elite cricketers in world cricket, and his absence has hindered England hugely over a tough few months for classy batsman and bowler, but Stokes now his chance to show his class on the pitch, and he will be chomping at the bit to don the coloured clothing of the one-day squad again, and he will hand England a huge boost ahead of the imminent one-day series.
