How they got here...

Saints won the League Leaders' Shield this season, finishing clear of local rivals Wigan Warriors. They then overcame Salford Red Devils 19-12 in a tense semi-final at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Leeds came from the bottom end of the Betfred Super League under Richard Agar to become the form side in the sport after Rohan Smith took over. They beat Catalans Dragons on the road in the first round of the play-offs, then went to Wigan and beat them too to reach Old Trafford.
