Boxer Dave Allen Unearths His Inner 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin With Iconic Ring Walk

Boxer Dave Allen re-ignited memories for a generation on Saturday night as the man nicknamed "The White Rhino" walked to the ring to the music used by WWE superstar 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.

While Allen elected to not emulate Austin by smashing beer cans and spraying them everywhere, his walk-on music would've had wrestling fans across the globe reminiscing of Austin's iconic entrances, and while Allen may not be the global phenomenon Austin 3:16 is, he is sure to have gained a few more fans.

Having looked focused as he strode to the ring, Allen showed that he also has major boxing skills as he defeated Argentine fighter Ariel Esteban Bracamonte in the seventh round, but the likeable Allen was not happy with his performance as he questioned his fitness levels during the fight, and made the audacious statement that he should be allowed to fight on pay-per view again.

Producing a fantastic spectacle on his way to the ring, Allen also served up a cracking bout with Bracamonte, but the Argentine was taken out by his corner as Allen began to get the upper hand, and Allen will now push on with his career, and he is sure to try and get himself fitter for his next fight, whenever that may be.

However, the boxing world were treated to a little nostalgia this evening at the Manchester Arena, and while the Oleksandr Usyk v Tony Bellew may be the main event of the evening the fans at the north west venue tonight will go home remembering Allen's epic walk-on.
