Brighton & Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the Premier League on Thursday night, less than two weeks after their FA Cup semi-final meeting at Wembley. Manchester United prevailed via a penalty shoot-out on that occasion but now the two sides lock horns in a crucial battle for both clubs.

Brighton are looking to use their three games in hand on Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the Europa League next term but they could also push to finish higher up and reach the Champions League spots.

As for United, they will be looking to cement their place in the top four by holding off a potential rival in Brighton and extending their seven-point advantage over fifth-placed Liverpool.

We take a look at where the betting value could be in this match.

Brighton: 21/20, Draw: 11/4, Manchester United: 23/10

At least three goals have been scored in Brighton’s last four Premier League matches, with the side winning three of them. Brighton to win and over 2.5 goals is priced at 7/4.

However, the Seagulls have only won one of their last five home matches against the visitors. United to win and over 2.5 goals is 7/2

Eight out of the last 10 meetings between the two sides at the Amex Stadium has contained an odd number of goals - this is valued at 5/6.

Danny Welbeck has scored four goals in his last six league appearances for Brighton, scoring a brace last time out against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He is priced at 9/2 to score first against his old side and 7/5 to score anytime.

Pascal Groß (club’s joint-top scorer with eight) and Denis Undav also scored twice against Wolves and they are priced at 10/3 and 7/5 respectively to score against the Red Devils.

Alexis Mac Allister has also scored eight goals in the league this term for the Seagulls and he is 2/1 to score anytime against United.

Kaoru Mitoma and Solly March have each scored seven Premier League goals this term. Mitoma is 9/2 to score first against United and 7/5 to score anytime. March is valued at 8/1 to strike first and 13/5 to score anytime.

Marcus Rashford is United’s leading marksman with 16 goals in the Premier League. The attacker has five goal involvements in his last five league appearances and is 5/1 to score first in the match, and 13/8 to score anytime.

Bruno Fernandes was the match-winner in United’s last game against Aston Villa and has scored six goals in the competition this year. The Portuguese midfielder is 9/1 to score first and 3/1 to score anytime.

Fernandes has been booked six times in the Premier League this year and is 3/1 to pick up a yellow card against Brighton. You can get Fernandes to score and be booked at 14/1.

Casemiro had never been sent off in his career before joining Manchester United in the summer and he has already been sent off twice for the Red Devils this campaign. He is 7/4 to go into the referee’s book and you can get 9/2 on there to be a sending off during the match.

Despite his two dismissals, Casemiro is not the United player with the most yellow cards. Scott McTominay has amassed the most bookings with seven and he is 9/4 to get booked - but he is unlikely to be in the starting lineup.

Midfielder Moises Caicedo has been booked eight times for the Seagulls this term and he is valued at 3/1 to get booked against United.
