Caroline Wozniacki has won the WTA Tour Finals for the first time in her career after a 6-4, 6-4 win over Venus Williams.
The Danish star was supremely confident on the court and manage to outclass the experienced Venus with a series of streching shots.
Williams came into the final as the oldest woman ever to reach a WTA season-ending final but was unable to win in Singapore.
Wozniacki won the game by making far fewer unforced errors compared to her opponent. She made just eight compared to Williams' 32 which proved vital. She hit fewer winners (19 to 31) and also got less of her first serves in (62% to 70%), but came out on top in just under an hour and a half.
She scoops the prize money of around $7 million US dollars and heads into 2018 on a high.
