It's taken deep into the final round for the first hole in one at this year's Masters Tournament.
Step forward Charley Hoffman, who has aced the 16th hole.
The American, who was on four under par standing on the 16th hole, which he'd played in one over par for his three previous visits this week cleared the bunker by a smidge before the ball took a couple of hops and into the cup for an eagle one!
The patrons went wild as did Hoffman who would see the eagle propel him up in a tie for eighth place.
Hoffman's playing partner Tony Finau was one of the first to congratulate him. Finau himself had carded a hole in one during Wednesday's par three competition where he bizarrely dislocated his ankle and had to pop it back in. The incident, which The Sportsman reported on earlier in the week didn't stop him playing and the American even found himself near the top of the leaderboard at the end of day one and he himself is seven under par for the tournament with a hole to play.
Behind, the leaders have made the turn and Patrick Reed has a two shot lead over Jordan Spieth. Reed is level par for his round but following some early wobbles looks well in control of his game. Jordan Spieth started the day on five under par but is seven under for his round and just two shots adrift of his old Texan Ryder Cup partner, despite having played four holes more.
