Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic is a man in demand.
The American international is wanted by several Premier League clubs with Liverpool and Manchester United both linked with the midfielder in recent months.
But a report today says it's Chelsea who are in pole position to land the star but they won't pay the £70million currently being quoted by the Bundesliga leaders.
Pulisic is a player who has been on the radar of some of Europe's biggest clubs for about two years and the 20-year-old seems destined to make a move this summer.
This week’s edition of SportBild reported that Manchester United - as well as Liverpool - were "positioning themselves" to make a play for Pulisic in the next summer transfer window. The magazine reported that Chelsea were keen on the player for January but Borussia Dortmund are unlikely to let the player leave mid-season.
Pulisic has not been a regular starter this campaign and his contract ends in summer 2020. The Bundesliga club could cash in by allowing him to leave in the next two transfer windows.
The player has stated in the past that he is interested in playing in the Premier League and there is a belief that American owned Liverpool and United would see him as an extremely marketable asset.
Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed a good start to the season and are currently top of Bundesliga with 33 points - seven clear of Borussia Monchengladbach. Because of their success this year, Pulisic has struggled to break into a winning team.
