Chelsea Losing Battle To Keep Hold Of Youngster As Bayern Munich Make Fresh £30m Offer

Chelsea are not interested in selling Callum Hudson-Odoi despite a likely third bid for the player from Bayern Munich.

The Standard reports that the Bundesliga club will offer £30million for the highly-rated 18-year-old but Chelsea are determined to keep the player and will look to improve his current contract which has 18 months to run.

Offers of £13.5million and £20million have already been rejected for the England under 21 international. But Hudson-Odoi - encouraged by the success of English youngsters such as Jadon Sancho and others in Germany - is reportedly keen on such a move as he looks to gain more first-team experience. He has only played six times for the Blues this season and is struggling to force his way into Maurizio Sarri's team where the midfield is built around Jorginho.

The latest offer from Bayern includes a sell-on clause and performance related bonuses. Borussia Dortmund have also shown interest in the player and last month there were stories that they were willing to offer Christian Pulisic as bait for such a deal. Of course Pulisic has since agreed a deal to join Chelsea but Hudson-Odoi was not part of the deal.

Bayern are understood to be willing to pay up to £40million for the player as they look to freshen up a midfield which could lose established star Arjen Robben and possibly Franck Ribery in the summer.

Hudson-Odoi played in England's 2017 U17 World Cup victory, making nine appearances in the tournament and helping to created three goals in the 5-2 final win over Spain.
