Chelsea could make a move for Nabil Fekir if Willian and Eden Hazard leave in the summer transfer window.

It seems increasingly likely that Brazil World Cup star Willian will join Barcelona while Hazard is a well-known target for Real Madrid.

New Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has already brought in Napoli midfielder Jorginho since arriving at Stamford Bridge, replacing Antonio Conte. Now reports from France say that Nabil Fekir, who was so close to joining Liverpool a few weeks ago, is now a target for Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur are also understood to be interested in Fekir but are unlikely to be able the match Lyon's valuation.

The collapse of Fekir's move to Liverpool was one of the transfer stories of the summer. The Anfield club were seemingly assured of landing the player but the £53million move stalled over injury concerns. Fekir was also quoted as saying that his dream move would be to Manchester United.

The French international, who came on as a sub in the World Cup Final win over Croatia, has never been far away from the transfer radar. He is one of the most sought after players in Europe after he scored 22 goals in all competitions for Lyon.

Today, Liverpool handed the number 10 squad number to Sadio Mane and many believe this is a sign that Jurgen Klopp has finally given up on signing Fekir. Liverpool also look to be out of transfer funds following the £65million record signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
