Chelsea fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal, as new boss Maurizio Sarri has said he expects Eden Hazard to remain a Blues player for this season, and that is Belgian World Cup star is not off to Real Madrid.
The European transfer window remains open until the August, so the Spanish giants can still make signings over the next couple of weeks, and following on from their 4-2 UEFA Super Cup defeat to Ateltico Madrid many have thought that Julen Lopetegui should bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign after Cristiano Ronaldo's exit to Juventus has left a huge void.
Eden Hazard has been the man linked with the Spanish heavyweights throughout a summer where he excelled for his country at the World Cup, but looking forward to Chelsea's monster clash with Arsenal, Sarri has spoke with confidence that Hazard will not be on the move to the Spanish capital, like his goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois did last week.
When quizzed about Hazard's future, Sarri said, "I have spoken to Eden very often in the last 10 days but he has never said to me anything about this (leaving). "I am sure Eden will be with us for this season."
Hazard made a marvellous 15-minute cameo in Chelsea's comfortable 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town last weekend, and he will be set to return to the starting XI on Saturday evening, as the Blues look to make it two wins from two at the start of the season, and duly hand the Gunners their second defeat of the campaign.
