We've got you covered across a hectic final day in Cheltenham, including the Gold Cup
11:55, 19 Mar 2021

The final day of Cheltenham Festival has arrived which means we have the big one to look forward to, the Gold Cup! This is the best place to get up-to-the-minute results, as they happen.

We have seen some incredible winners this week as Rachael Blackmore has been on fire, while Tiger Roll had our hearts soaring with his win on day two. Let’s see what Friday has to offer ...

13:20 - Triumph Hurdle

Result:

1st: Quilixios (2/1)

2nd: Adagio (10/1)

3rd: Haut En Couleurs (20/1)

4th: Zanahiyr (11/2 fav)

The Triumph Hurdle got the final day of the Festival off to a cracker with Rachael Blackmore, the standout star at Cheltenham this year, claiming her sixth winner of the week on board Quilixios. Pre-race favourite Zanahiyr had to make do with fourth, while Adagio and Haut En Couleurs finished third and fourth, respectively. There's just no stopping Blackmore right now!

13:55 - County Handicap Hurdle

Result:

1st:  Belfast Banter (33/1)

2nd: Petit Mouchoir (22/1)

3rd: Milkwood (22/1)

4th: Eclair De Beaufeu (11/1)

5th: Edwardstone (18/1)

6th: Third Time Lucki (8/1)

Belfast Banter comes through a whole host of runners to take this one on the line. It was a thrilling finish to an absolutely chaotic race which saw the favourites absolutely nowhere.

14:30 - Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle

Result:

1st: Vanillier (14/1)

2nd: Oscar Elite (40/1)

3rd: Streets of Doyen (10/1)

4th: Stattler  (7/2)

What a performance from Vanillier and it is another winner for a horse Jonathan Moore should have been riding! How is your luck. He led from the front and didn't give the others a chance to catch him heading into the final two furlongs. Another brilliant performance.

15:05: Cheltenham Gold Cup

Result:

1st: Minella Indo (9/1)

2nd: A Plus Tard (10/3)

3rd: Al Boum Photo (9/4 fav)

4th: Native River (12/1)

History at the Cheltenham has been rewritten by Henry de Bromhead, who has become the first trainer to win the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase and Gold Cup at a single festival. Riding Minella Indo, it was a 1-2-3 for the Irish in the week's showpiece event, with A Plus Tard, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, finishing second and pre-race favourite Al Boum Photo finishing third.

15:40 Foxhunters’ Chase

Result:

1st: Porlock Bay (14/1)

2nd: Billaway (2/1 favourite)

3rd: Staker Wallace (17/2)

4th: Latenightpass (11/1)

What a win that is! The first photo finish of the week goes to Porlock Bay who goes head-to-head with Billaway right to the line and just had enough, by a nose! A brilliant race with Staker Wallace and Latenightpass also needing a photo to seperate the places.

16:15 Mares’ Chase

Result:

1st: Colreevy (9/4)

2nd: Elimay (6/5 favourite)

3rd: Shattered Love (6/1)

4th: Cut The Mustard (50/1)

Another battle to the line and a Willie Mullins 1-2! Colreevy and Elimay gave it everything they had to the finishing post but it was Colreevy who had enough to get over the line first. Shattered Love ran a good race in third with Cut The Mustard finishing 4th.

16:50 Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle

Result:

1st: Galopin Des Champs (7/1)

2nd: Langar Dan (6/1)

3rd: Flouer (33/1)

4th: Whatsupwithyou  (40/1)

4th: Dallas Des Pictons (66/1)

A fitting finale to this year's Cheltenham Festival. Willie Mullins takes top trainer of the week in terms of numbers with this win, as Galopin Des Champs ran the perfect race and just had enough to hold off Langar Dan who was finishing strongly.
