Tiger Roll is set to make his second appearance of the season at Cheltenham on Friday in the Cross Country Chase.
The Gordon Elliott trained Grand National winner is sure to be popular in the horse racing naps at the Festival in March as he looks for a fourth winner at the meeting, but first he looks likely to appear in the Cross Country contest this weekend.
One of the most popular horses in training, Tiger Roll ran a good race giving lumps of weight away first time out at Prestbury Park last month when finishing 4th and he is going to face a similar task again.
Josies Orders came out of that contest on top in that race and has also been entered for a repeat with the Enda Bolger trained horse likely to be the major rival for Tiger Roll both now and in March.
The Cross Country Chase at the Festival could however be a different prospect with the race contested off level weights and Elliott has made it clear that his defending champion is being targeted at a repeat victory.
Other entries for the Cross Country Chase on Friday include Fact Of The Matter, who was 2nd to Josies Orders last time out, and popular chaser Ballycasey who is always a force to be reckoned with when he is on form.
All eyes will be on Tiger Roll though after he achieved a famous Cheltenham Festival/Grand National double last season and there is no doubt the 8-year-old will be the star attraction on day one of the brilliant International fixture.
Now a three-time Cheltenham Festival winner.
