Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall’s highly-anticipated undisputed showdown has officially been rescheduled for Saturday 15th October.
The fight was originally meant to take place on Saturday 10th September but following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the event, like many sports up and down the nation, were postponed out of respect to the late monarch and the Royal Family.

The decision was taken by the British Boxing Board of Control and they have now given a long-awaited update, confirming when fans will get to see these two long-term rivals square-up inside the O2 Arena in London to battle it out for the undisputed middleweight championship title.
Ahead of the original date, things got heated in the pre-fight press conference with Shields saying: "I'm going to quieten all the doubters about my knockout power, my skills and all my accomplishments."
Marshall replied: "I've said I'm going to hurt you and I will."
To this day, Marshall is the only fighter to have defeated Shields in her career, and that came back in 2012 when they were both amateurs.
The card also features another enticing contest as Mikaela Mayer goes glove-to-glove with Alycia Baumgardner for the undisputed super-featherweight world titles. The night will be a historic celebration of women’s boxing with the card being an all-female event which features Team GB Tokyo 2020 champion Lauren Price, along with fellow Team GB favourites Kariss Artingstall and Caroline Dubois.
Ticket holders from the original event have been informed that those tickets will remain valid for the event next month.
