Competition: Win An Icardi Inter Shirt

Mauro Icardi was the toast of half of Milan last night after his match-winning hat-trick for Inter in the Milan Derby at the San Siro.

The Argentine striker broke the deadlock with his first, sweeping in a low cross with his right foot. Milan equalised through Suso but, not to be outdone, Icardi notched again. He knocked in a second finish from a low cross, this time an even more instinctive one, a volleyed effort that he sliced neatly inside Donnarumma’s left post.

Big-spending Milan again equalised and the game looked to be trundling toward a draw until the drama of the final minutes unfolded. During injury time Milan full-back Ricardo Rodríguez was adjudged to have brought down Danilo D’Ambrosio in the box and Inter were awarded a penalty.

On a hat-trick, Icardi stepped up and confidently dispatched the spot-kick, sending Donnarumma the wrong way to give Inter the win in this most passionately contested local derby.

Wheeling away in celebration in front of the raucous Inter fans, he removed his shirt and held it up to them, much like one Lionel Messi did after a match-winning intervention in a recent game with Real Madrid.

Here at The Sportsman, we’re giving you the chance to win an Inter shirt with the name of last night's leading light on the back. You can find details below:
