Costa Rica and Serbia will kick off day four of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, and both nations will fancy their chances of getting off to a winning start, and with Brazil and Switzerland the other two sides in Group E then it could prove to be one of the tightest groups in the competition, so in the 1pm kick-off from the Samara Arena Costa Rica and Serbia will look to fly out of the traps.
Costa Rica will start as outsiders for the match having warmed up for the tournament with defeats to England and Belgium, but they will be looking to bounce back from those losses and will hope that Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who came in for some criticism before the World Cup, can find his best form between the sticks, and he will be the star name in the Costa Rican starting XI. Other notable players in the Costa Rican side include Bryan Ruiz and Marco Urena, who will be looking to unlock the Serbian defence.
Former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic will become Serbia's most capped international as the veteran makes his 104th appearance, overtaking Dejan Stankovic at the top of the appearances list, while Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic - who was a revelation for Fulham in the Championship during his loan spell - will lead the line for the Serbians.
Southampton's Dusan Tadic, Manchester United's Nemanja Matic and Crystal Palace's Luka Milivojevic will be the central midfield triumvirate looking to produce the creativity for the aforementioned Mitrovic, as Serbia try to show their quality and kick off with a win.
