Croatia and Nigeria would've been buoyed by Argentina's lacklustre 1-1 draw with Iceland earlier in the day, and both will head into the final match on Saturday with thoughts of topping Group D at the end of the first round of fixtures, and the teams have now been announced for the tie, which takes place at the Kaliningrad Stadium.
Having only one won of their last seven World Cup games, Croatia will be eager to improve on that poor record and they will look to the likes of Luca Modric and Mario Mandzukic to shine on Saturday night, and it's no surprise to see them starting for the favourites in this match, while Ivan Rakitic and Dejan Lovren will another notable brace of recognisable names lining up for the Croatians.
Nigeria are a mainstay of World Cup tournaments these days, and have been the most successful African teams, but they will want to make a rapid start to the group with Argentina on the horizon and they will hope the likes of John Obi Mikel, Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo can find their best form, as they look to improve on their friendly defeat to England a few weeks ago.
Victor Moses is another Premier League star that will be in the starting line-up, while Wilfried Ndidi is another key component of the Nigerian team, and he will be looking to nullify the aforementioned Modric, who will be looking to get on the ball at every moment.
