Deontay Wilder is preparing himself for a monster world heavyweight clash with Tyson Fury on December 1, but the Bronze Bomber took some time away from the Gypsy King by going on Nación ESPN, however, his appearance took a turn for the worst as the 32-year-old American reportedly broke a man's jaw, who was a wearing a mascot's costume.
While appearing on the Spanish-speaking show, Wilder was put face-to-face with a mascot donning a fetching moustache and decided it was the right time to show Fury the sort of power he possesses in his right-hand, and Wilder duly unleashed a devastating blow to the face of the mascot.
As the presenters looked on shocked after Wilder had launched the telling blow, the mascot remained on the floor and was not able to get off from the floor as Wilder stood over it admiring his work. With the mascot still down on the floor Wilder walked away and the presenters were forced to cut away from the link as the person inside the costume was visibly hurt from Wilder's punch.
In the aftermath of the weird goings-on Wilder has reportedly claimed that he was unaware that a person was in the costume, but there's no doubt the mascot will be feeling the force of Wilder's punch for a long time to come with rumours circulating that the mascot's jaw was broken.
We are still several weeks away from Wilder and Fury meeting in the ring, but the pair have been filling up social media with their trash-talk meetings and this unsavoury Wilder incident will just see him fill up the news pages for yet another reason.
