Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury had to be separated during the final press conference ahead of Saturday’s fight, before an irate Wilder vented his anger at a reporter in the ensuing interviews.
The reporter in question, Radio Raheem, asked Wilder if he could elaborate on the comments he made during the press conference when the WBC heavyweight champion said:
"You (Fury) talk about how your people have been fighting for 200 years, my people have been fighting for 400 (years)!
“My people have been fighting for 400 (years) and are still fighting today."
Raheem appeared to catch Wilder at the wrong moment, as the fuming American hurled a volley of abuse right in his face.
"Your peoples too!" Wilder roared at the reporter, who is also black.
"You know what I'm talking about. Don't try to bait and not know what I’m talking about. Y'all know what the f*** I'm talking about when I say these things. Your people, too!"
Raheem, who stood his ground, then asked the champ to explain.
"I ain't got to explain what's understood...Radio Raheem. You know what I mean by that. You know what I said by that. I ain’t gotta go further. And If anybody don't understand what I'm talking about, then God be with them.
“Go look up the history. Don’t everybody believe in Google? Go Google that s*** and see what I’m talking about. You know what I’m talking about.
Wilder then angrily took his shades and says: “I dare you to sit up there and say that. You know we’ve be fighting 400 years and we still fighting to this day,” a sentence he repeats before walking off.
We bet he sh*t himself 💩
