Everton Considering Big Money Transfer Bid For Crystal Palace Superstar

Everton are interested in signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the Ivorian winger is at the top of the wish list for Marco Silva as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging in the top half of the table.

The Portuguese Manager is still settling into his desk at Goodison Park having taken over from Sam Allardyce and the signing of Zaha would be a massive statement of intent from the Toffees.

The former Man United winger certainly wouldn't come cheap though with Palace reported to want about £60m for their star player to even consider parting with the 25-year-old.

Zaha was the key man for the Eagles last term as they narrowly avoided relegation having started the season in awful fashion and it would be a massive blow if he left Selhurst Park.

Roy Hodgson will be loathed to let him go without a fight but a number of clubs, including Everton, are reported to be sniffing round one of the best players outside of the top six in the Premier League.

Marco Silva is under pressure to overhaul a squad which flopped badly last season despite major investment last summer and the former Watford Manager is also reported to be considering making a move for Danny Welbeck, who is expected to be surplus to requirements at Arsenal under Unai Emery.

Zaha failed to make an impact in the north-west during his time with Manchester United but the hope will be that he is now ready to produce on a slightly bigger stage, if indeed a big bid does arrive this summer.
