Now we have dusted ourselves down from the Champions League round of 16 first legs, it is time for the second legs and a lot of these ties are still in the balance. Here is everything you need to know about these fixtures.

Chelsea v Borussia Dortmund (0-1)

Where: Stamford Bridge, London

When: Tuesday 7 March, 8pm

TV: BT Sport 1/BT Sport Ultimate

Betfred odds*: 1-1 is priced at 13/2

Borussia Dortmund took the advantage in this tie thanks to Karim Adeyemi’s match-winner last time out. They were organised and defended well to keep an important clean sheet at home ahead of a tough test at Stamford Bridge. Everyone knows that Blues boss Graham Potter is under pressure, despite seemingly having the backing of Todd Boehly, but football is a results business.

The Blues are still in turmoil in the Premier League as results continue to slide, and their saving grace this season would be to go far in the Champions League. They will not underestimate their opponents after their solid showing in the reverse fixture, but they will need to make their home turf as difficult as possible for Dortmund because they have been in excellent form since the World Cup restart.

Benfica v Club Brugge (2-0)

Where: Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Lisbon

When: Tuesday 7 March, 8pm

TV: BT Sport 2

Betfred odds*: Over 2.5 Benfica goals is 7/4

Scott Parker has not been having much fun in his new role at Club Brugge having won just two of his opening 10 matches in charge. His side were outclassed in the first leg on home soil and now they face an uphill battle in Lisbon to rescue their chance at reaching the quarter-finals.

Benfica are having a great season both domestically and in Europe. Rodger Schmidt’s team are eight points clear at the top of the Primeira Liga and they have been exciting to watch in the Champions League, proving to be one of this year’s surprise packages. They head into this match with a two-goal advantage at home, which will be a huge positive, but they will ensure they remain switched on to get the job done.

Bayern Munich v Paris Saint-Germain (1-0)

Where: Allianz Arena, Munich

When: Wednesday 8 February, 8pm

TV: BT Sport 2

Betfred odds*: Kylian Mbappe to score anytime is 7/5

Bayern edged in front last time out in Paris thanks to former Les Parisien winger Kingsley Coman’s goal. Given the amount of hype generated for the tie when the draw was made, the first leg didn’t quite have the fireworks that many were expecting. They will be hoping for a much better showing in the second leg, particularly as the tie is still very much alive. Bayern in their house will feel like they can get themselves over the line, but PSG have undoubted quality in their ranks - they just need to be at it from the first whistle.

Tottenham Hotspur v AC Milan (0-1)

Where: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London

When: Wednesday 8 March, 8pm

TV: BT Sport 1/BT Sport Ultimate

Betfred odds*: Over 1.5 Tottenham goals is EVS

Despite losing the first leg, Spurs gave a good account of themselves at San Siro and created some decent opportunities to score. And while they had to cover the absentees of midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr did well on their first Champions League starts.

With one goal separating the two sides, the hosts will feel that they can claw their way back into the tie, but given their turbulent form, you never know which Spurs you’re going to get. This could play into the Rossoneri’s hands as if Spurs have a slow start like they did in Milan, the Italians could capitalise and take the tie out of sight for Antonio Conte’s men
