The Europa League quarter-finals get underway this week with Manchester United in action. The Red Devils are chasing their first Europa League title since 2017 under Jose Mourinho.
Here is everything you need to know about this week’s first leg ties.
Feyenoord v Roma
Where: De Kuip, Rotterdam
When: Thursday 13 April, 5:45pm
TV: BT Sport 3
Betfred odds: Over 2.5 goals is 5/4
This interesting tie is going to be a rematch between last year’s inaugural Europa Conference League finalists. Roma were the victors on that occasion thanks to Nicolo Zaniolo’s decisive winner and you can expect that Feyenoord will be out looking for revenge.
The Eredivisie leaders are having an excellent season under Arne Slot as they have a comfortable eight-point lead over Ajax in the race for the title. And after guiding his side to a European final last term, he has got his side in a great position in this year’s Europa League. He will be wary of Roma boss Jose Mourinhos’ magic when it comes to European matches, but he will feel that his side are better prepared to face the Italian side this time around.

Juventus v Sporting CP
Where: Allianz Stadium, Turin
When: Thursday 13 April, 8pm
TV: BT Sport 3
Betfred odds: BTTS is 11/10
Much has been said about how disappointing this year has been for Juventus in Serie A. They sit seventh in the table, eight points off the top four and the fans have let their discontent known. The club needs to try and get the fans back on side and a way to do that would be going all the way in the Europa League. The Old Lady have some talented players at their disposal and will certainly give Sporting a lot to think about in Turin.

Bayer Leverkusen v Union Saint-Gilloise
Where: BayArena, Leverkusen
When: Thursday 13 April, 8pm
TV: BT Sport 5
Betfred odds: Bayer Leverkusen and BTTS is 11/5
Xabi Alonso will be looking to lay down a marker in his first major coaching role in football with Bayer Leverkusen, and his team will feel they are in a good position to go all the way in the Europa League. The German side will need to be wary of Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise, who are not only chasing the Pro League title, but have been most impressive in Europe this term. After beating Bundesliga high-flyers Union Berlin in the previous round 6-3 on aggregate, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Manchester United v Sevilla
Where: Old Trafford, Manchester
When: Thursday 13 April, 8pm
TV: BT Sport 1
Betfred odds: Man United to win both halves is 21/10
Manchester United have made excellent progress in their first season under Erik ten Hag even though there have been some blips along the way. They have a major piece of silverware already this term in the form of the Carabao Cup, so they will have a lot of experience that will serve them well in this Europa League tie. They will also be boosted by their recent Europa League experiences, including 2017 when they won it and more recently in 2021 where they lost out in the final to Villarreal.
Sevilla will see a good run in the Europa League as a saving grace to what has been a pretty dismal season which has seen them struggle in La Liga. The club has already sacked two managers this year in Julen Lopetegui and Jorge Sampaoli and they sit just five points above the relegation zone. Current boss Jose Luis Mendilibar has overseen two matches so far, a 2-0 victory at Cadiz and a 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo with 10 men. He will certainly face a step up in challenge against Manchester United.
