Chelsea fans saw red when the club's official Twitter account asked who they should sign this summer - despite the fact they could be banned from transfers.
Last week Chelsea were banned from signing players in the next two transfer windows by FIFA for breaching rules in relation to youth players.
The ban - potentially until the end of January next year - is the subject of an appeal from the Chelsea who were also fined £460,000.
Despite the shadow of a ban, Chelsea put their foot in it by asking supporters on Twitter who they should sign. And as you might expect the responses came thick and fast.
"Ain’t we transfer banned and last time they said this something bad happened" asked @KhalzCFC
"We got Transfer Ban because you are keep posting this sh+tttttt Media watch ... Stop This nonsense" pleaded @AbAnil11
"Ok fellas stop now," asked @TrequartisticX
After news of the transfer ban was announced, Chelsea issued a statement saying: "We welcome the fact Fifa has accepted that there was no breach in relation to 63 of these players, but the club is extremely disappointed that Fifa has not accepted the club's submissions in relation to the remaining 29 players. Chelsea acted in accordance with the relevant regulations and will shortly be submitting its appeal to Fifa."
An FA statement said: "The FA intends to appeal against the decision. We will, however, continue to work with Fifa and Chelsea in a constructive manner to address the issues which are raised by this case."
