Gameweek 35 is here, which means that there are just four more weeks of Fantasy Premier League left in the 2022-23 season.
We are entering the endgame and that means the pressure is mounting on managers to make the best decisions so that they can achieve the highest possible points tally and be crowned the champions of their mini leagues.
As usual, The Sportsman is here to offer three tips of advice to get your squad in shape for another competitive weekend of Premier League action.
Captain Haaland
Erling Haaland has become the first player in Premier League history to score 35 goals in a single campaign thanks to his goal against West Ham United in midweek. The Manchester City star is now on a mission with five games remaining to solidify this accolade and make it almost impossible to emulate. Haaland could be in for a fruitful afternoon this weekend as the title chasers welcome defensively frail Leeds United who are one of the worst defensively organised sides the top-flight has ever seen.
The Yorkshire club have conceded the most goals in the top flight this year with 67 and have conceded over four goals in four of their last seven matches. The club has turned to Sam Allardyce to try and keep them in the Premier League but against a ruthless Manchester City side, they could be set for a torrid afternoon, spearheaded by the Norwegian viking born in their very city.

Forest assets could be worth a punt against Saints
Nottingham Forest welcome Southampton on Monday night in a huge clash in this year’s relegation battle. Forest are currently 18th in the table on 30 points, only in the bottom three on goal difference. The Saints are 20th on 24 points, and it is looking increasingly likely that they will be the first team to be relegated to the Championship this year.

Forest still have a great chance of maintaining their top-flight status and a victory here would give them a huge boost in their survival hopes. In front of a home crowd, you’d back Steve Cooper’s men to get a result. Two of their best attacking assets, Brennan Johnson (£5.6m) and Morgan Gibbs-White (£5.5m) who have been involved in 11 and 13 goals respectively this campaign.
Stock up on Brighton assets now
Brighton & Hove Albion are the only Premier League team with two double gameweeks left in FPL this term. The Seagulls have a few games in hand on the teams above them and they are going to fight until the end to try and secure a place in Europe next year, which would be a huge accomplishment for the south coast club.
Their double headers come in gameweeks 36 and 37, which will offer FPL bosses the chance for huge returns. First they welcome strugglers Everton to the Amex Stadium on Monday and a victory over the Toffees will set them up nicely for their remaining fixtures.
Goalkeeper Jason Steele has come into the fold in recent weeks to replace Robert Sanchez and has kept five clean sheets in his last ten appearances. For £4m he is good value which would also allow you to strengthen in other areas of the pitch. Other Brighton stars worth looking at are Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m) and Solly March (£5.3m), who have each scored seven Premier League goals this term.
