Fantasy Premier League Ins And Outs For Gameweek 32

Fantasy Premier League Ins And Outs For Gameweek 32

Well, folks, that’s it. We’ve no more international football until the Premier League season comes to its conclusion, and blimey, that was a long fortnight, eh?

We’re back with our gameweek 32 preview, as Manchester City’s quest to wrap up the title on or before derby day continues. This Saturday, they head to Goodison Park to take on an Everton side who’ll be brimming with confidence following a hard-fought 2-1 victory away at Stoke City.

The pick of the games takes place on Super Sunday, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men heading to Stamford Bridge to go toe-to-toe with Chelsea. This game could be crucial in the race for a Champions League spot, and all eyes will certainly be watching.

Anyway, let’s get right to our player picks…

Three players to buy

Chris Smalling – Manchester United - £5.4million

Yes, I am actually recommending you BUY Chris Smalling. He’s playing some brilliant football at the moment, and having Eric Bailly back alongside him can only be a good thing.

At £5.4million, he’s a relatively cheap centre-back option, and I certainly like the look of Manchester United’s fixtures from now until the season ends. We all know Jose Mourinho loves a clean sheet…

Heung-Min Son – Tottenham Hotspur - £8.3million

The Tottenham Hotspur man has often gone under the radar, but after scoring four goals in his last two gameweeks, you just cannot afford to leave this guy out of your side.

Yes, I’d like to see his ownership a little lower than the 14% that it currently is, but in this form, I simply cannot ignore him. One thing to watch, though, is that Son is a streaky player. As soon as that bad patch hits, make sure you remove him immediately.

Willian – Chelsea - £7.1million

I’m doubling up on wingers this week. The clever Brazilian has been by far and away Chelsea’s best attacking outlet this term, and £7.1million is an absolute steal.

His ownership is understandably on the rise at just over 12%, but if I had to choose between Son and Willian, I’d go for the Chelsea man every single time purely due to his cheapness.

Three players to sell

Xherdan Shaqiri – Stoke City - £6.4million

After drawing blanks in his last three, it’s probably time to wave goodbye to Shaqiri. He’s obviously an immensely gifted player, but it’s tough carving out those opportunities, particularly when you’re stuck down near the foot of the table.

£6.4million is a decent chunk of cash to spend elsewhere, and I fully expect his ownership to drop, meaning his price could well be on the decline too…

Kevin de Bruyne – Manchester City - £10.4million

Hear me out with this one. Kevin de Bruyne should win PFA Player of the Year this term, but that does us FPL players no good whatsoever when it comes to points.

The brilliant Belgian has fired three blanks over his last three matches, and there are certainly cheaper options (take a look at David Silva, for example). It’s no surprise that he’s amongst the most transferred out players for this GW, and I think it’s wise to be amongst those who are selling him.

Wayne Rooney – Everton - £7.2million

I still find it absolutely bizarre that 10% of FPL bosses have Wayne Rooney in their teams. He hasn’t scored since GW18, which was also the last match he picked up an assist.

He’s a Premier League legend and that’ll never change, but don’t let your heart rule your head when picking your teams.

Good luck people. Remember, think about using your wildcard, bench boost and free hit if you’ve still got them available. It could be the difference between winning and losing your league!
