Arsene Wenger was a great manager who changed the face of English football with his revolutionary managerial techniques and trades. He achieved many great things during his career with the Gunners including, of course, that unbeaten season in 2003/04. The season Arsenal went on to win the Premier League without losing a single game.

That is a feat that is yet to be matched, although three teams are currently unbeaten at this stage of the Premier League season, in Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool. However, despite all the trophies and 22 years at the top of club football, one thing haunted Arsene Wenger throughout his managerial career.

That’s right. The zip. For some reason, towards the latter stages of his career Arsenal brought out these incredibly oversized coats for Wenger to wear and the zips were incredibly tough for the Frenchman. The internet went wild every time he struggled to do up his coat and finally we have got to hear from the man himself about what that was like.

Speaking to Andy Gray and Richard Keys (remember them two) on Bein Sports, Wenger opened up about the zip nightmare: “Yes, in fact I improved in that. I was conscious of that!

“They are too long and sometimes the zip didn’t work. I struggled a lot with that.

“But, in the end, because people were showing it I was conscious that I was under scrutiny when doing it!”

So the pressure of management was easy for him to deal with but the pressure of doing a coat up is a whole different thing!
