Four Names In The Running To Replace Claude Puel At Leicester City

Claude Puel remains on thin ice at Leicester City and he is still the most likely manager to leave his post out of the current 20 managers employed in the Premier League. Leicester fans, despite enjoying a decent spell in the second half v Wolves, have lost patience with their manager and heading into a tough run of fixtures would like to see a change. We pick out four names in the running for the job.

Brendan Rodgers

The Celtic gaffer would be an incredible coup for Leicester as he has a pretty cushy job up there in Scotland. His trophy record since moving north of the border has been nothing short of spectacular and it would be incredible if Leicester could convince him to return to the Premier League but it does seem unlikely.

The former Liverpool boss even said in his latest press conference: “It is the time of the year where you get players and managers linked with clubs and whatnot. For me, my only concentration is here at Celtic.” Having said that, Leicester are a good club with a whole host of talented young players. If Rodgers fancies the challenge of the Premier League once again this could be the perfect club for him.

Sean Dyche

Burnley boss Sean Dyche surely has to leave the Clarets soon after earning his stripes in the Premier League. Leicester could do a lot worse than bringing in Dyche, although if they have been moaning about the style of play, the Englishman may not be the right choice.

More known for his pragmatic and practical approach rather than his attacking flair, Dyche would not be the most popular appointment but he could surprise everyone and flourish with more attacking talent at his disposal.

Harry Redknapp

The King of the Jungle could make an unexpected return to management with Leicester and it would be an incredible return for the former Portsmouth boss. The Foxes would be in safe hands with Redknapp but again he is unlikely to bring the exciting football to the East Midlands.

He certainly has the past credentials to succeed but again he would not be a popular manager to come in. Leicester are after someone, young, exciting and with fresh ideas. Redknapp probably does not fit that bill.

David Wagner

One man who could bring fresh ideas and excitement is former Huddersfield boss David Wagner. He did incredibly well at Huddersfield, transforming them from relegation candidates in the Championship into a Premier League side but unfortunately, things just didn't work out this season.

With a more talented squad and more money at his disposal, Wagner could be a sensational appointment for Leicester. He would certainly get the best out of the players currently in the Leicester squad.
