The boxing world have had to be very patient as the big heavyweight fights for 2019 have yet to be announced. Anthony Joshua is set to fight at Wembley in April at some point whilst Tyson Fury is hoping to get his rematch with Deontay Wilder after a controversial draw decision spoiled what was a fantastic fight back in December 2018.
Wilder against Fury part two looks the most likely with negotiations ongoing between the two camps. Frank Warren told BT Sport:
“We’re still negotiating at the moment, still discussing it. Hopefully, In the next 7-10 days, we'll have some news."
“Well, if we do a deal it will be in the States”
On Eddie Hearn, Warren said:
“He’s always got an opinion, if I was him i'd be more worried about what my fighter was thinking, what happened to that $80 million I was offered? There’s an $80 million hole in my bank account, I should have took that fight. They can’t even make their own fights, don’t worry about what we’re doing and our fights, I would expending all my time focussing on what I’m doing for Anthony Joshua.”
"We made it. The two biggest and best went out and done it, and they want to get it on again! You’ve got to take your hat off to them. The number one heavyweight in my opinion in the world is Tyson Fury, he proved that, he won that fight. It was a disappointment he didn’t get the decision."
