The Sportsman office are back with another accumulator for the weekend’s football and this time we’ve picked out a tasty 780/1* treat that takes us from the Bundesliga to the Premier League and the Scottish Premiership to League One. Here’s what we’re backing...
Wycombe Wanderers WIN (vs Doncaster Rovers) - 3/4
Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers have adapted to life back in League One well since their relegation from the Championship last season. The Chairboys currently sit joint top of the table with Plymouth Argyle and have a game in hand. Doncaster Rovers meanwhile are rooted at the bottom of the third-tier and have only won twice all season. [Kieran Spratt]
Brighton & Hove Albion WIN (vs Norwich) - 23/20
The Premier League’s surprise package wouldn’t exactly be pulling off a shock if they won at Carrow Road. Graham Potter’s in-form Seagulls should extend their excellent start against a side who are yet to win a Premier League game this season. [Joey Mills]
Wigan Athletic WIN (vs Bolton) - 17/10
Wigan have certainly proven themselves to be one of the stronger outfits in League One this term and although Bolton have also made a decent start to life back in the third tier, Leam Richardson's side should have enough to secure all three points. [Simon Lillicrap]
Motherwell vs Celtic DRAW - 3/1
Motherwell have a knack of pulling results out of the bag this season, taking a point at home against league leaders Rangers and getting wins over Aberdeen and Ross County. Even in losses, the scores remain close so a draw seems like a good option with a Celtic side that's still waiting to find their feet. [Steven Allen]
Union Berlin WIN (vs Wolfsburg) - 17/10
Former Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been tearing it up in an intense season so far in the Bundesliga. Wolfsburg sit just a point ahead of Union, but a trip deep into the East Berlin forest should see their positions switched on Saturday afternoon. Expect goals in this one. [Steven Allen]
Aberdeen WIN (vs Dundee) - 11/8
Aberdeen are due a win after a poor run in form. They have come close to victory in their most recent Premiership games - Celtic snatched the victory with a late Jota goal at Pittodrie and a red card spoiled their chances in a 3-2 thriller against St Mirren. They have experienced players in Scott Brown and quality in the likes of Lewis Ferguson who will push to end their win drought. [Megan Fitzpatrick]
Sunderland WIN (vs Gillingham) - 2/1
Forget their 4-0 spanking by Portsmouth, Sunderland remain the team to beat in League One and Gillingham have failed to win any of their last five home games in all competitions. Their last two home games - against Wigan in the league and Ipswich in the Papa John's Trophy - ended in 2-0 defeats and they have netted just 11 in 12 matches so far. This should be a straight-forward win for the Black Cats, with a clean sheet probable. [Kris Voakes]
