Furious Victor Anichebe Slams Stephen Sessegnon Over 'Unpaid £20K Debts'

The former Everton and Sunderland striker Victor Anichebe is now a free agent having finished a stint in China with Beijing Enterprises and it seems he’s got some time on his hands to settle old scores.

He’s taken to Instagram to publicly name a former teammate who he says owes him money and refuses to pay him back.

The post was swiftly removed from the platform, but in it he claimed that Stephane Sessegnon, who he shared a dressing room with at West Brom, owed both him and another member of that squad, Youssouf Mulumbu money and had gone AWOL before settling up.

"This guy Stephane Sessegnon asked me to borrow him £10k," it read.

"I've been chasing him for it for a long period of time now but he ignores my calls, messages and any form of contact. He even borrowed £10k from [Youssouf] Mulumbu and failed to pay him back.

"This is the problem with our African brothers. They pretend to live some big lifestyle whilst borrowing money from others and failing to pay back.

"If anybody knows him or has contact with him please tell him to contact me or simply send me my f***ing money.

 "Cheap motherf***er!"

Sessegnon, now 34, plays in Turkey with Gençlerbirliği, in case Victor was wondering. If that’s as hard to find as it is to spell, no wonder he can’t track him down to collect his cash.

Well, let’s hope all involved can find a way to straighten things out amicably.
