''Fury Is More Of A Heavyweight Champion'' - Big Baby Miller Fires First Shots At Anthony Joshua

''Fury Is More Of A Heavyweight Champion'' - Big Baby Miller Fires First Shots At Anthony Joshua

And so it begins. Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller has fired the first shots towards defending IBF, WBA, and WBO world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua ahead of their bout on 1st June.

It was announced this week that Big Baby and AJ would square off in Madison Square Garden, New York, later this month.

The American Miller - on a 19-fight winning streak - will be Joshua’s heaviest opponent so far, at his most recent weight level of 22st 7lbs and has wasted no time in comparing the Englishman to his resurgent compatriot Tyson Fury, who began his stunning comeback last year and and has made headlines for being outspoken and encouraging discussion on mental illness.

In my eyes, somebody across the board I feel that’s really been doing good things in and outside the ring who looks more like a heavyweight champion is Tyson Fury,

Miller said via BBC5Live,

He’s been there, to me he’s different.

The media like stuff that looks pretty and plays a role.

A battle between Fury and AJ had previously been mooted for the available Wembley Stadium slot, but with Fury set to head for a rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder, Joshua will be making the journey stateside and onto Brooklyn-born Miller’s home turf.

When you come from the streets and you understand the grit, the grind, and how the sport is, it’s a different kind of aspect of who is the best heavyweight,

Miller continued, and further referenced Fury.

We’ve seen one heavyweight mentally breakdown and comeback.

We haven’t seen a mental breakdown from AJ.

I’ve heard crazy things about him and his camp and all kinds of crazy crap.

But like I been saying before, when you’re protected most of your life then you find out there’s really wolves, bears, and tigers out here that don’t give a crap where you come from and they’re going to be in your face everyday.

They act different.

Joshua will need his mace to protect himself from those wolves, bears, and tigers over the next few months, as this will surely be the last we hear from either camp before that June date. You can listen to Miller spout off below.
